Money for rescue comes from adoption fees, donations, and rescuers’ or club members’ own pockets. The National Wheaten Rescue reimburses rescuers for veterinary and out-of-the-ordinary costs, but the individual rescuers pay the day-to-day expenses. SCWTCA established a rescue committee in 1993, with initial funding of $1,400. Expenses can be overwhelming, and we are grateful for support from the Wheaten community. We are fortunate that National Wheaten Rescue covers expenses for any Wheatens it accepts. Donations are always welcome!
