Adopting from National Wheaten Rescue has been a wonderful experience. From my first inquiry, the team was responsive, honest, and focused on placing me with the right dog. They answered all my questions, shared clear medical records, and provided helpful guidance for bringing a rescue dog home. The volunteers have been amazing, checking in after adoption and offering support during those first weeks.
We brought Toby home at the end of January, and three months later, he’s doing incredibly well. He adjusted quickly and has settled into a great routine. We’ve worked with a trainer on a few minor behaviors, and he’s made excellent progress. Toby loves people and has become a favorite among our neighbors and friends. He especially enjoys his carrot toy, proudly carrying it around the house. It’s been so rewarding to watch his personality shine—he’s truly become a cherished part of our family!
